Ventec International Group is one of the world's leading manufacturers of copper-clad laminates and prepreg bonding materials, used mainly for printed circuit boards (PCB).
Ventec required a visual and structural overhaul of their existing digital presence.
Despite seeming like dry subject matter on the surface, Ventec's products have been used in a variety of applications, including the construction of satellites and fighter jets. This gave us an interesting aesthetic direction to work to, which played a major part in visually labelling products that would otherwise be difficult to label.
The main considerations for this project were:
The initial research and analysis stage outlined that the datasheets and the contact page appeared to be the hardest hit by users searching for information. Our priority was to make finding the right datasheet the most important user journey.
To help visualise the end product at several different breakpoints, I created responsive mockup screens which showed a realistic expectation of what the interface would look like. These screens were used for both client stakeholders and the development team.
Using Balsamiq and InVision, I created an interactive prototype that showed the basic interactions and functions, which would eventually make their way to the launched product.
